Three Sisters

The Prozorov sisters – Olga, Masha and Irina – dream of escaping from their provincial exile to a more fulfilling life in Moscow, but events frustrate them. Unhappily married Masha embarks on a doomed love affair with Vershinin, while their brother Andrei, burdened by gambling debts, allows his grasping wife Natasha to drive his sisters out from the family home. Set in Russia at the turn of the Twentieth Century, Three Sisters is a tale of hope, work, love and frustrated dreams.

This production by Frome Drama Club featured beautiful period sets and costumes as well as their usual high standard of acting and direction.
